Mercedes-Benz Vans claims it has become the first manufacturer of commercially operated vans to open an online sales channel. The pilot is being launched in the Netherlands with the Mercedes-Benz Citan and in cooperation with the local dealer network.

Online purchasers can save up to 15 percent on the monthly payment instalments for a van.

Mercedes-Benz Vans says that speed and efficiency as well as “attractive offerings” play an important role in connection with online purchasing decisions. The online platform’s URL is: www.besteleenbestelwagen.nl.

Mercedes-Benz Vans says the new online platform will regularly offer limited numbers of vans for sale. Vehicles are delivered no later than seven days after the order has been received and, if required, right on the doorstep. Customers are notified if the vans on offer have sold out. In such a case, they can put their name on a waiting list. They are informed as soon as new offers are available.

In the initial pilot phase, the urban delivery van Citan will be available on the online sales channel in a fixed equipment configuration and with a valid 48-month service leasing contract with an annual mileage ranging from 20,000 to 40,000 kilometres. The leasing contract comes with a comprehensive service package consisting of insurance, warranty, maintenance, repairs and breakdown assistance.
