After launch in passenger cars, Daimler’s claimed ‘intuitive and self-learning’ Mercedes-Benz MBUX ICE system will be available in the van-based V-Class MPV.
A factory option from December 2019, MBUX has, the automaker said, and intuitive operating concept and voice control system which recognises almost any imaginable sentence covering infotainment and vehicle operation. It is capable of learning, can adapt itself to a user and voice, and is said to understand slang.

Voice control is activated by a button on the steering wheel or by saying “Hey Mercedes”. High-resolution, seven-or 10.25-inch touchscreens plus a central touchpad complete the deal.
So-called prediction features allow customisation by recognising what the driver wants next.
If on the way home, the driver regularly phones Home, the telephone number will be suggested on the display. All infotainment and vehicle settings can also be saved in up to eight individual profiles.
