The automaker said its production volume in Japan during the last few months of COVID-19 related cut backs had been as low as 40% of output in the same months of 2019 but volume for July in Japan would recover to as much as 80% of output in July 2019.
"Combined with our overseas production in Mexico and Thailand, the planned production volume in July will be 150% higher than the production volume in June 2020," the automaker said.
"We will continue to respond cautiously and flexibly to the ever changing situation."
Double shift operations will resume on 1 July at Ujina Plants No. 1 and No. 2 (Hiroshima) and at Hofu Plant No. 2 (Hofu, Yamaguchi) while Hofu Plant No.1 would restart on 27 July.
"No days with suspended operations are planned for any of the plants," Mazda said.
Mazda de Mexico Vehicle Operation (Salamanca, Guanajuato state) would operate on Monday to Thursday (from the first to fourth week) while Auto Alliance (Thailand) (Rayong) was "undergoing adjustments".
"By carefully monitoring the demand in our markets over the past months and after a period of adjusting global production and supply, inventory levels at our plants, offshore, at ports and at our dealer outlets are steadily returning to appropriate levels," the automaker said.
