New vehicle sales in Malaysia fell by 0.7% to 55,078 units in October, from 55,447 units a year earlier, according to data released by the Malaysian Automotive Association.
Passenger vehicle sales were 1.2% lower at 47,930 units, compared with 48,505 units, while commercial vehicle increased by 3% to 7,148 units.

In the first 10 months of 2013, new vehicle sales rose by 6.1% to 543,046 units, from 513,918 units in the same period of 2012.
