New vehicle sales in Malaysia were flat in August at 51,125 units, compared with 51,106 units sold a year earlier, according to data released by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA).

Passenger car sales were slightly weaker at 44,898 units, compared with 45,054 previously, while commercial vehicle sales increased slightly to 6,227 units from 6,052 units last year.
