The Malaysian distributor of Honda cars, KAH Motor Co. Sdn Bhd, said that it will sell more vehicles in 2001 following yesterday’s launch of the new Civic Dimension, the Business Times reported.

Mr. Datuk Robert Wong, KAH managing director, a subsidiary of Oriental Holdings Bhd, did not tell the newspaper how much total sales would increase this year, but he expects to sell 3,000 of the seventh generation Civic in 2001.

Wong said that the new model will contribute tremendously to the forecast of the company this year and, despite growing competition in the domestic car market, KAH is confident of meeting its sales target for the new Honda. He added that Civic sales are expected to add to Oriental Group’s profits.
