Malaysia’s Boon Koon Group plans to assemble small trucks in Malaysia from 2015, sourced from kit form from China’s Brilliance Shineray.
The truck, to be branded Viflex 2.0, has a cargo capacity of 1 ton and is be powered by a 1L engine. The company intends to produce 300 units in 2016, rising to 600 in 2016 and 1,000 units by 2017. Prices will start at around MYR40,000 (US$12,400).
