Magna is hailing the fact it received six awards from General Motors at the automaker’s annual supplier recognition event.
The component manufacturer received Supplier of the Year Awards for its mirrors, truck frames, driveline systems, fascias and seat systems, as well as an Innovation Award for its Freeform seat trim technology.

GM’s Innovation Award recognises suppliers which introduced innovations to deliver technologies and substantially enhance vehicle capabilities and/or customer experience.
Magna’s Freeform is a seat trim technology introduced in 2019 that provides a sculpted, seamless styling surface. Freeform is due to launch later this year on a GM product.
“Our suppliers play a key role in delivering the products, services and experiences our customers deserve; and these award-winning suppliers went above and beyond our expectations,” said GM Global Purchasing and Supply Chain VP, Shilpan Amin.
The Supplier of the Year award winners were chosen by a global team of GM purchasing, engineering, quality, manufacturing and logistics executives.
Winners were selected based on performance criteria in Product Purchasing, Global Purchasing and Manufacturing Services, Customer Care and Aftersales and Logistics.
