Key Safety Systems (KSS) says it has obtained a majority ownership stake in ImageNext, a Korean-based developer of vision systems in automotive electronics for advanced safety applications.

The transaction was authorised by both the existing KSS Board of Directors, along with future KSS merger partner, Joyson.

ImageNext will function within the KSS Active Safety Products Division, which operates in three safety-critical market segments: Autonomous & Intelligent Technologies, Event Protection and Integrated Safety & Electronics.

ImageNext serves OEM and after-market customers and has core competencies of patented software technologies – namely algorithms used in its surround view monitor – 360o Omnivue – and the development of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
