Exhaust flaps increase the necessary pressure drop for improving exhaust gas recirculation rates, conduct thermal management for the SCR system and support regeneration of the diesel particle filter.

If required, they can also be used to optimise the noise level in the exhaust gas system as well as for supporting the engine brake function.

Headquartered in Neckersulm, Germany, KSPG generated sales last year of around EUR2.5bn, making it one of the world’s top 100 automotive parts suppliers.

It is the automotive arm of the Düsseldorf-based Rheinmetall Group.

Working at around forty production locations in Europe, North and South America, Japan, India and China, KSPG’s 11,000 employees develop and manufacture components, modules and systems for powering current and future vehicles.
