The latest Japanese market Demio – basis of the export specification and Spanish-built Mazda 2 models – boasts significantly improved fuel economy and emissions and, now with Japan’s U-LEV (Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle) certification, is eligible for a tax reduction of 32,000 yen – the 15,000 yen automobile acquisition tax and the 17,000 yen automobile tax.
The latest models is offered in 28 different ‘catalogue models’, featuring various combinations of popular options. Package options have been reduced and items are sold separately leaving customers free to purchase only the equipment they require. Options can be selected from the catalog, or by using dealer simulation tools.
