A number of Japanese big industrial companies, including Toyota, have decided to temporarily suspend operations at their plants in Aichi Prefecture due to the approach of a strong tropical storm.

Toyota decided to stop operations at 11 plants, including the Tsutsumi and Tahara plants that assemble auto bodies, from the evening on Wednesday to secure the safety of the night shift employees.
