Toyota has announced  that it will conduct its autumn Toyota Traffic Safety Campaign in Japan from September 21 to October 31, in line with the country’s autumn Nationwide Traffic Safety Campaign, which runs from September 21 to 30.

The campaign hopes to raise driver awareness of recent changes to the Japanese Road Traffic Law, which now requires the wearing of rear seatbelts and greater driver attention to bicycles on the road. These points will also feature on a TMC traffic-safety flyer, of which 850,000 copies will be handed out to visitors at vehicle dealerships and other locations nationwide.

At vehicle salesrooms, TMC will also display traffic-safety campaign posters produced by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA).

The campaign will be carried out with 427 other companies including dealers of vehicles, logistics systems and forklifts, parts distributors and rental/lease companies nationwide.
