Toyota on Monday announced the beginning of Japan sales of the Avensis, built at its plant in Burnaston, UK. This is the first time European built Toyota vehicles are being sold in Japan.
The Avensis, on European roads since last March, will be available in sedan and wagon body types in Japan, with a sales target of 2,000 units per month.
