Toyota Motor’s Prius hybrid in June recaptured top spot among domestic sales for the first time in four months, thanks to restoration of the company’s parts supply chains, which had been damaged by the 11 March earthquake/tsunami, industry groups said.
The debut of the new Prius Alpha model in May also contributed to raising the ranking, but monthly sales fell 39% year on year to 19,429 units.
