Japanese automakers saw mixed performance for both production and sales in July, with only Toyota Motor Corp. seeing output rise significantly, show reports released Tuesday by the carmakers.
Toyota expanded domestic auto production by 11.5%, while Nissan Motor Co., Honda Motor Co. and Mazda Motor Corp. saw output drop from a year earlier. Mitsubishi Motors Corp.’s domestic output edged up 0.9% from a year earlier.
