Toyota holds an 8.7% stake in Fuji Heavy. It became the Subaru car maker’s largest shareholder in October after Fuji Heavy dissolved its capital alliance with GM.
The partnership has already resulted in one major manufacturing deal. The two companies agreed in December to make Toyota vehicles at Fuji’s plant in Lafayette, Indiana, although they have not announced what will be built there or when.
Toyota president Katsuaki Watanabe and Fuji president Kyoji Takenaka will attend the briefing, said Reuters.
