JAPAN: Pioneer receives orders for 45m car speakers
Pioneer has announced that itself and wholly owned subsidiary Tohoku Pioneer have received new orders for 45m car speakers from major automakers in Japan and overseas. The speakers will be shipped globally over three to five years starting in 2018.

The supplier has singled out OEM business expansion as one of the growth strategies for its car electronics business. It estimates the car speaker market at about 500m units a year worldwide.
