Under the expanded agreement, Mitsubishi will supply Nissan with the Townbox minicar at a volume of 4,000 units a year.

Nissan in turn will supply Mitsubishi with the AD and AD Expert light commercial vehicles (LCV), at a volume of 3,000 units per year.

Mitsubishi has already supplied Nissan a Clipper variant of its Minicab LCV and the Otti (a rebadged version of its eK Wagon) minicar, but this is the first time Nissan has agreed to supply vehicles to Mitsubishi.

“The agreement will allow both companies to improve productivity through expanded economies of scale, and offer their respective customers a wider range of products,” MMC and Nissan said in a statement.
