Fuji Heavy Industries has announced a new generation of its Subaru Stella small car. This 660cc kei-class model, which is sold mostly in Japan, is being supplied by Daihatsu’s Shiga plant. The new Stella is a rebadged Daihatsu Move.

Subaru has set a home market sales target of 2,250 units/month for the Stella. There is as yet no news on a possible replacement for the former electric Subaru Stella. Fuji built the plug-in Stella in small volumes at its Ota plant between 2009 and 2010.
