JAPAN: Mitsubishi Motor Company shareholders to OK exec from DaimlerChrysler on board
Mitsubishi Motors Corp. (MMC) will hold an extraordinary meeting of shareholders Jan. 19. The subject of the meeting will be the appointment of a top executive from the DaimlerChrysler AG group as MMC's chief operating officer, the company said Friday. It is expected that the shareholders' meeting will approve the appointment of Rolf Eckrodt, the chief executive officer of DaimlerChrysler Rail Systems GmbH. Eckrodt will fill the No. 2 post at MMC.
