A spokesman for the truck maker told Reuters the company did not know yet how many trucks would be involved in the latest recall.

The Nihon Keizai Shimbun business daily reportedly said some 60,000 trucks were found with a defect involving the front wheel hub.

“We will make an official announcement on the action we are considering taking at a regular news conference on Wednesday,” the spokesman told Reuters, adding that subject to the recall were some large trucks manufactured after 1995.

According to Reuters, the Nihon Keizai said that with the latest recall, Fuso will have recalled all of its large trucks built since 1983 after earlier problems with defective hubs.
