About
1,900 Mitsubishi Motors Corp employees applied for early retirement yesterday
on the first day the programme opened, Kyodo News said, citing company officials.

The struggling car maker in May announced an early retirement deal for employees
aged over 40 with at least 10 years’ service so it could phase out up to
1,200 jobs, the report added.
