The Moscow Show begins on August 26.

Kyodo News reported that the concept car will be presented at a news conference at the Mazda stand on August 26, the first day of the two-day media preview of the Moscow International Automobile Salon.

The SUV will be based on Mazda’s design concept called Nagare, signifying ”flow” in Japanese. The concept represents a ”new approach to expressing movement in car design” and takes as inspiration the flow patterns of natural elements such as the wind, Mazda said.

Mazda is keen on attracting younger Russian drivers with the SUV featuring flowing exterior lines, as it believes Russian youth have a strong sense of style, it said.

The name of the show car ”will be announced in due course,” it added.
