Current US 626 (lower) differs from models sold elsewhere

Mazda plans to use the same design for the next 626 series (Capella in Japan) in all global markets. The current model uses the same body in the Japanese, Asia-Pacific and European markets but the North American model is a larger size based on the previous generation model.

Toyota and Honda also sell models such as the Accord and Camry with different sized bodies according to market preferences – the U.S. and Asia-Pacific Accord is wider than the model sold in Europe.
