Global output was up 15% to 128,866 vehicles last month. Production in Japan rose 16.6% to 104,700 and by 8.5% to 24,166 in overseas plants.


January to September output rose 13.7% to 1,059,976 with a 19.5% rise to 853,628 units in Japan and a 5.5% fall to 206,348 at plants overseas.


Sales in Japan were up just 0.5% to 26,596 last month and 0.7% to 203,626 year to date.


Exports rose 26.9% to 90,488 last month and 21.6% to 692,402 year to date.
