Light vehicle sales (excluding 660cc minivehicles)in Japan  fell 0.9% in February, compared to a year earlier. Car sales were down 2.4% while truck sales were up 10.1%, according to Reuters.

Bucking the trend were Mitsubishi (+40.4% to 8,036 units) and Daihatsu (+49.5% to 1,864), which both reported strong increases in Japanese sales in February.
