Kinugawa Rubber Industrial has begun supplying parts to Volkswagen assembly plants in China and Mexico.
The VW order for rubber seals was Kinugawa’s first from Volkswagen, the Nikkei reported. It has factories in both markets and is highly regarded for both quality and cost-competitiveness.
Kinugawa Rubber is targeting group sales of over JPY100bn in fiscal 2015 by which time it hopes to expand the VW supply agreement to 5% of sales.
