Isuzu has posted a net loss of 27.8 billion yen for April-September, against a year-earlier profit of 30.1 billion yen.

The truck maker also downgraded its sales outlook due to the sluggish global economy.
The company also posted an operating loss of 20.0 billion yen, compared with a profit of 39.2 billion a year ago.
Revenue slid 48.5 percent to 442.8 billion yen.
Analysts say that Isuzu is ill-placed to benefit from government stimulus packages around the world which have benefited small car sales in particular. Moreover, the firm is suffering because of weak activity in the construction sector across the world.
Sales more than halved to 109,665 vehicles in April-September from a year earlier.
The firm cut its revenue forecast for the year to March 2010 from 1.08 trillion yen to 1.02 trillion — down 28 percent from the previous year.
