Honda will hire about 1,000 term employees at domestic plants, including ones in Saitama and Mie prefectures, during October-March of fiscal 2011 in response to extra demand according to a Kyodo report.

The news comes as Honda is apparently recovering more quickly from the earthquake and tsunami in March, with production expected to be back to almost normal by the end of this month.
