It was a similar pattern with calendar year-to date results – a 6.8% fall in Japan to 915,574 units was offset by a 8.7% rise to 2,070,064 units overseas for a total rise of 3.4% to 2,985,638 units.
Year to date, production in China was up 20.4% to 394,647 units. US output was down 0.2% to 762,100.
Exports to Asia from Japan were up 52.4% to 30,531 units; North America shipments fell 12.5% to 266,884.
