Output of the Subaru Forester made by Fuji Heavy Industries has now passed one million units.
Production began in December 1996 and the model is now sold in over 100 countries, according to Jiji Press.
Export sales have been strong, particularly in North America. Sales outside Japan reached 83.2% in 2005, the highest among Subaru models.
