Denso is postponing building a car air conditioner factory in Japan as demand for new vehicles falls.
The supplier said its wholly-owned Denso East Japan unit had delayed the start of production for the plant until around spring 2011 instead of next January as originally planned, the Wall Street Journal Asia reported.
A Denso spokesman told the paper the delay wouldn’t cause any special financial charges to be booked.
