Daihatsu will supply some of the output of its new compact ‘Be Go’ sport utility vehicle to its parent Toyota for sale as a Toyota, according to a report by Kyodo News.

The move is the latest sign of increasing collaboration between the compact vehicle specialist and its parent.
No official announcement on the small SUV has yet been made and Kyodo News cited sources familiar with the matter.
Daihatsu Auto Body Co., a Daihatsu subsidiary, will produce 40,000 Be Go SUVs a year. Toyota will sell the SUVs under a different name.
The new SUV is the successor model for Daihatsu’s Terios, which was also sold by Toyota under the name Cami. Daihatsu ended production of Terios this November.
