Akebono Brake has reported a net loss of JPY3.2bn (US$39.8m) for the fiscal year 2011, compared to net profit of JPY5.3bn a year previously. Pre-tax income was JPY300m.

Operating income plunged to JPY3.8bn from JPY11.4bn. Net sales fell slightly to JPY209.6bn from JPY216.6bn.
