Jaguar Land Rover North America is recalling 2760 2019 Jaguar I-Pace vehicles because the high voltage battery may overheat.

Owners have been advised to park and charge their vehicles outside and away from structures until the recall repair is complete and for 30 days after the repair has been completed.

As an interim repair, dealers would update the battery energy control module software, free of charge – a final remedy is still currently under development. Owner notification letters were expected to be mailed on 18 October, 2024.

The NHTSA noted these vehicles were previously recalled for this same issue but would need to have the new remedy performed.
