The report cites the organisers of the show – Promotor International – as the source for the news, which is attributed to cost-saving measures being taken by the carmakers and the ‘difficult market situation’.
The Turin Show was to take place from April 25th to May 5th.
The annual Turin event is seen as the main showcase for the Italian carmakers and designers, but other carmakers are said to attach far greater importance to the Geneva show, which also takes place annually (in March).
Fiat and its subsidiary car companies had reportedly been planning to exhibit at the show.
