Tyre producer Pirelli has unveiled its Cinturato P1 “green” tyre which is set to be launched on the European aftermarket by the end of 2011.
The Cinturato P1, developed for small and medium-sized cars, is available in sizes from 14″ to 16″ and expands from Pirelli’s “green” range launched three years ago with Cintuarto P4, P6 and P7.

Cinturato P1 was tested by the European media in Puglia, Italy and was developed at Pirelli’s Research and Development centre in Milan.
According to Pirelli, the new Cinturato tyre has 15% lower weight and achieves a reduction in rolling resistance of up to 25% and reduces external noise by 1,5 dB and inner noise by 1dB.
Cinturato P1 is also planned for launch in Latin America and Asia soon.
