Automobilwoche reports that the company has already delivered 1,900 cars so far this year.


Last year Lamborghini delivered 1,600 cars and achieved a turnover of 243m euros. In the first half of this year sales were up 45% to 952 cars. This compares with just 296 cars sold in 2000, two years after Lamborghini was acquired by Audi AG.


Lamborghini is currently expanding its dealer network, according to Automobilwoche. By the beginning of 2007 it will have 100 dealers worldwide.


Lamborghini currently builds two models – Gallardo and Murcielago. At the moment there are no plans to build a third model.
