Due to falling demand of its subcompact Panda, Fiat plans to halt production from 16 October to 27 October at its Pomigliano assembly plant in southern Italy.
According to Inautonews, Giuseppe Terracciano, secretary general for the Fim-Cisl union, said the closure and layoff is “necessary because of the slowdown in the market in view of the end of the year”.
