Fiat says production at three plants in Italy, Spain and Serbia has now resumed after huge disruption caused by a dispute with a key supplier.
The automaker’s Maserati factory in Grugliasco, the Iveco plant in Madrid and the Fiat Automobiles site in Serbia, have now returned to work after the hiatus in supply from the Selmat Group, whose origin still remains a mystery.

“The situation is more or less normal – all the Fiat plants have resumed production,” a Fiat spokeswoman told just-auto from Turin. “Fiat complained about delays in delivery with components, both in terms of quality and delivery.
“It is plastic [components] for the interior such as air vents and door panels. Production has now started again and has become normal.”
The car manufacturer said the stoppages had caused “significant damage” to the Fiat Group and had warned of further shut-downs if the situation continued.
Fiat had cautioned there could be “inevitable consequences for workers” unless the difficulties were resolved.
Selmat CEO, Enzo Maccheronne, was not immediately available for comment from Turin.
