Fiat plans to reduce the Lancia brand to a single model within two years, a US media report said.
According to The Detroit News, the brand will be sold only in Italy following Fiat Automobile’s merger with Chrysler Group. Sales of the Lancia Delta will end in 2014, while [Chrysler built] Voyager minivan sales will halt in 2015. By 2016, Lancia will only offer the Ypsilon subcompact.
The brand has been merged with Dodge and Chrysler in Europe and Fiat expects them to make joint sales of 80,000 vehicles in 2018, compared with 75,000 in 2013, the report added.
