ITALY: Fiat car division loss seen as “not much more” than €2 billion – report
According to a Reuters report, Italy's industry minister said on Tuesday that Fiat was unlikely to sustain losses at its car division of "much more than 2.0 billion euros" in 2002. "The forecast is that the final result for 2002 will not be much beyond a loss of 2.0 billion euros," Antonio Marzano told Reuters, referring to Fiat's net result.

Reuters noted that, last week, Fiat said Fiat Auto had made an operating loss of “less than 200 million euros” in the fourth quarter of 2002, which would give a full-year operating loss of 1.3-1.4 billion euros.
