Renault has announced it has signed a deal for Pars Khodro to assemble and market the Megane model in Iran from mid-2006.
Installed capacity for the car at the Pars Khodro plant in Teheran will be 15,000 vehicles per year by 2008.
The vehicles will be sold by dealers selected from the Pars Khodro network.
