According to Mehrnews.com, the Persian service of ISNA reported on Tuesday that the 407 will be offered with petrol and diesel engines and the choice of five-speed manual or automatic gearbox.
Peugeot reportedly plans to sell 2,000 407s in the first year priced at 300-400 million rials ($US33,000-$44,000).
Imported and/or assembled by Iran Khodro, Peugeot and Peugeot-based models have replaced the Hillman Hunter-based Peykan in Iranian auto showrooms in recent years.
