The 1000cc car is imported assembled from Suzuki Motor (Thailand) and will slot in above its Wagon R low-cost green car (LCGC).

Celerio prices start at IDR146m (US$10,900), putting it in contention with the Honda Brio and Mitsubishi Mirage.

Local distributor Suzuki Indomobil Sales has not set a sales target for the car but expects the small hatchback will help strengthen its image in the country’s passenger vehicle market.
