New vehicle sales in Indonesia fell by 9.9% to 84,885 units in January, from 94,194 units a year earlier, according to data released by industry association Gaikindo.

Market weakness continued despite the release of some important new models in recent months by key suppliers such as Toyota, Daihatsu and Honda, including full-model replacements for the Toyota Avanza and Innova and the launch of the Honda BRV.
