Finance director John Slack reportedly said Astra would pay a final dividend in 2004 of more than 220 rupiah ($0.02) per share.
“The revenue growth in 2005 may exceed 10%,” Slack told Reuters. “We will try to give higher than 25% (of our net profit) for 2004 dividends. The final dividend will surely exceed 220 rupiah,” he added.
Astra, 42% owned by Singapore’s Jardine Cycle & Carriage Ltd , said in mid-October it would pay an interim dividend of 100 rupiah ($0.01) per share from its 2004 operations, the news agency added.
