The chief executive of Indonesia’s top automotive distributor, Astra International, died on Wednesday, a company official said.
CEO Michael Ruslim, 56, died of dengue fever and other complications early on Wednesday morning in a Singapore hospital, spokesman Yulian Warman told Reuters.

“It’s sad, but there won’t be any impact as it’s probably one of the more structured corporate managements,” James Bryson, a Jakarta-based fund manager at HB Capital, told the news agency.
Astra International imports and distributes cars and motorcycles while its main units’ products include palm oil and heavy equipment.
Ruslim had been admitted to hospital in Jakarta on Saturday and then transferred to Mount Elizabeth hospital in Singapore on Monday.
