New vehicle sales in Indonesia increased by 13.3% to 113,292 units in March from 99,957 units a year earlier, according to data released by industry association Gaikindo.
The market has been underpinned in recent months by sales of newly launched low-cost green cars (LCGCs), which have offset weaker sales of types of passenger vehicles – which have been affected by interest rate hikes and stricter lending criteria introduced last year.
